The KCAU Ethics Review Committee consists of 14 members and a pool of reviewers who evaluate and approve proposals submitted by students and independent researchers globally. The secretariat oversees the entire review process, from triage and submission to review and final approval.
Dr. Caroline Ntara holds a Doctor of Philosophy and a Master of Philosophy in International Business from Monarch University, with the honour of cum laude-with Distinction. Prior to Joining Monarch University, She was a Doctoral candidate at the University of Nairobi and completed her coursework in international business with distinction. She has a Master of Business Administration in International Business from the University of Nairobi, and a Bachelor of Education degree in Economics and Business from Kenyatta University. She holds a certificate of Certified Public Accountancy from the Kenya Accountants and Secretaries National Examinations Board and is a TEFL/TESOL certified trainer. She has received extensive training and gained experience in peer review, curriculum development, module creation, course development, review of manuscripts and students research, online learner management and best practices in teaching and learning.
Dr. Ntara is an experienced lecturer and researcher with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry. Currently, She is a fulltime faculty member at KCA university school of business. Due to her research experience, She guides scholars around the world in publishing their work in revered scholarly journals upon request as a freelance peer reviewer and journal selection expert with Enago – Crimson Interactive-New York. Peer review keeps her abreast with new developments in her area. Caroline is also an external doctoral reviewer for Monarch University.

My philosophy is anchored on the belief that, while researchers discover solutions and propose techniques to address the challenges that face our field, It is only through effective teaching that a new generation of computer scientists, data scientists, and/or IT professionals will recognize the challenges that exist in the field, learn how to apply the knowledge acquired in their university courses to such problems, and discover new and innovative solutions of their own.
Dr. Bunyasi is a lecturer of Entrepreneurship and Finance at KCA University chool of Business. Being a professional accountant she has nurtured and mentored students to becoming professionals in the various accounting professions. She served as a dean of students where she engaged in guiding and counseling students on career matters and social aspects of life. She later on served as a director at the School of Professional Programmes, then as Dean Regional campuses and professional programmes and as Chief Principal to the KCA University Technical College where she saw the growth of the department in both programmes on offer from around 6 in 2007 Programmes to over 30 Programmes by close of 2022.
She holds a PhD in entrepreneurship from JKUAT, MBA in Finance from Kenyatta University, Bed Arts from the University of Nairobi. She is a Chartered Certified Accountant, a member of (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA UK). She is also a member of the ACCA Education Global Forum where she sits on the forum as a representative from Kenya contributing to the ACCA magazines on current emerging issues in the accountancy profession.
Dr. Jackson Ndungu Mwangi is a Kiswahili lecturer at KCA University’s School of Education, Arts & Social Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. in Kiswahili and Communication from Laikipia University, where his research focused on “Ulinganishi wa Maumbo, Motifu na Changamoto za Majagina katika Utendi wa Mikidadi na Mayasa na Kalevala” (Comparative Analysis of Shapes, Motifs, and Challenges in the Epics of Mikidadi na Mayasa and Kalevala). He also completed his MA in Kiswahili and Communication at Laikipia University, investigating “Tathmini ya Ushujaa katika Tendi Teule za Kiswahili” (Assessment of Heroism in Selected Kiswahili Epics). Dr. Mwangi is a member of several professional bodies, including CHAUKIDU, CHAKAMA, and CHAKITA, which promote Kiswahili development and scholarship. His research interests lie in interpretation and translation, comparative literature, Swahili literature, linguistics, and sociolinguistics. One of his research topics focuses on “The Impact of Climate Displacement on the Right to Education: Case Study of North Eastern Kenya.”S

Milkah Njuguna is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in project management at JKUAT, she holds a Master of Science degree in project management from JKUAT and a Bachelor of Education (Arts) degree (First Class Honours) from University of Nairobi with statistics (major) and commerce (minor).
Milkah has participated in various trainings and seminars, such as (though not limited to) the University Learning Management System (LMS-virtual campus), pedagogical trainings by Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence (CTLE), towards effective academic leadership as organized by KCAU for effective delivery. She is one of the champions at KCAU in course Design.
Milkah has over 15 years of teaching experience both in professional courses and academic courses. The units taught include business mathematics and statistics, quantitative analysis, Economics, microeconomics, macroeconomics, management mathematics, probability and statistics, operations research, fundamentals of project management, fundamentals of quantitative analysis, community development in project management, project management tools and techniques, and project management planning and scheduling. Mr. Paulus Adamba is a Post-graduate student at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, working under the mentorship of Dr. Bernard Kanoi of Mount Kenya University, Kenya. His research interest is on molecular immunology in relation to vaccine development. Adamba is among a large research team at The Centre for Malaria Elimination, Institute of Tropical Medicine, Mount Kenya University, Thika, Kenya. He is currently working on a research project “Assessing the kinetic of protective antibodies in pregnancy-associated malaria using Wheat germ cell-free system synthesized recombinant Plasmodium falciparum protein” among pregnant women in Webuye, Western Kenya, as part of a larger project of antigenic profiling among Kenyan women. a project funded by European and Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCPT2), to help in identification of vaccine antigen target with focus on developing vaccine against placental malaria. Adamba also works at KCA University in the health service department. He has experience in working in Histopathology Laboratory at Aghakan University Hospital, Kisumu. He is a registered member of Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologist Board and Africa International Biomedical and Biotechnology Conference.
Joshua Omanyo serves as the Data Protection Officer at KCA University, where he leads initiatives for continuous compliance with Data Protection Laws through a robust information governance policy framework. With over a decade of experience in applying technology for higher education management and sustainability, Joshua has collaborated internationally, including with DANIDA and multi-stakeholder projects involving the Kenyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the United Nations (UN), and the British Council. Currently, he is a PhD candidate in Information Systems and Technology at the United States International University – Africa, where his research spans E-learning, Educational Technology, and higher education sustainability. His notable publications are on Learning Management Systems, knowledge management, and institutional sustainability. He holds an MBA in Information Systems and Strategic Management from Africa Nazarene University and a BSc in Computer Science from Kenyatta University.

Rev. Capt. Kenedy Owino Ochieng is a dedicated Anglican priest currently serving as the Chaplain at Kenyatta National Hospital in Nairobi since September 2020. With a rich history in pastoral care, he previously served as Vicar at St. Peters Parish and held various leadership roles, including Diocesan Youth Chaplain. Rev.
